Microsoft Works Word Processor wont launch Also won't do window updates

Microsoft Works Word Processor Wont Launch- What happens when I click on the icon it loads for about half a second but it dose not let me open it. When I click on the document it dose the same thing. 

 

 

System- 64 -bit operation System 

Processor- Not Available 

Window 7 Home Premium 

 

Also it won't update anything of Windows it keeps wanting to restart my computer not all the time but on a schedule update at the same time , but every time I click restart when it load it says Failure to update so I have a lot of things that need updating

but it's not Updating any of them.  I use Firefox, I use Googlechrome mostly, and I use Internet Exsplore on occasion I do like google chrome the best.
