Windows Photo and Slideshow on my Windows 7 laptop has quit working.

My slideshow had been working fine until Wednesday the 13th. There were updates that came through and since then, the slideshow will not start up. It is in my documents folder under my pictures, where it has been for 2 years. Please help.
