Hello!

Is there any way to upgrade an existing Win2003 SR2 SP2

file server to a Storage Server SR2?

I could really use features like SIS, but reinstalling the whole server...

Thanks in advance

Windows Storage Server is an OEM product only ... it's not something to

which you could upgrade from another version of Windows.

Hi again!

So this means that only way for me to get a

Storage Server Windows OS is to buy a piece

of hardware that has that OS in it?

No other way?

I suppose you could try to find an OEM copy on ebay or some other internet

retailer, but the short answer to your question is "yes".

WSS is designed for network-attached storage devices.
