Guest Mr.Andersson Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Hello! Is there any way to upgrade an existing Win2003 SR2 SP2 file server to a Storage Server SR2? I could really use features like SIS, but reinstalling the whole server... Thanks in advance

Guest Mr.Andersson Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Re: Upgrade to Storage Server Hi again! So this means that only way for me to get a Storage Server Windows OS is to buy a piece of hardware that has that OS in it? No other way? I suppose you could try to find an OEM copy on ebay or some other internet retailer, but the short answer to your question is "yes". WSS is designed for network-attached storage devices. n > > > "Lanwench [MVP - Exchange]" wrote: > >> Mr.Andersson <MrAndersson@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote: >>> Hello! >>> >>> Is there any way to upgrade an existing Win2003 SR2 SP2 >>> file server to a Storage Server SR2? >>> I could really use features like SIS, but reinstalling the whole >>> server... >>> >>> Thanks in advance >> >> Windows Storage Server is an OEM product only ... it's not something >> to which you could upgrade from another version of Windows.
