Have noticed a design problem with Windows 8

 

When you install some software which then asks for a reboot to complete installation - you say yes and it reboots fine, but installation doesn't automatically continue after you log back on UNTIL you click Desktop again

This is okay for us who work in IT, but could be confusing for other users

Surely installation should pop up and continue whether at desktop or windows 8 start screen

Looks like this issue is that UAC is waiting for you to say yes to continue - and the UAC prompt doesn't appear on Start Screen - so as soon as you click Desktop the UAC prompt is flashing in the taskbar waiting for you
