windows 7 how to disable incoompatable battery warrning

i just started getting this message when the battery is installed in my sony vaio laptop

"Installed battery may not be properly connected to the computer or may not be compatible with the computer"this message stays on top and in the center of the screen all the time the battery is in the computer it's the same battery that came with the computer a year ago i've taken it in and out numerous times cleaned the connectors and the message still pops up when

i check the icon in the tool bar it shows that it is charging and what % of charge is at and unplugged the computer runs fine excepted for the message on the screen

if i take the battery out and just use the power cord  the laptop works fineI think the battery and laptop are ok i also did a virus scan could it be a software issue and is there away to disable the warrningThanks for any helpKevin
