Firewall

I am running windows 7 32bit, and using the windows media player streaming service, and also Serviio to stream media to my PS3.  This has been working fine for some time, but overnight both these services stopped working.

 

When I logged into windows I got the message that windows firewall Had blocked Serviio and the option to allow access to private or public networks I selected access to private network.

 

In windows media player I selected More Streaming Option and got the message Media Streaming is not turned on, and a button to turn on media streaming, click on this button and it goes grey but nothing happens.

 When I turn off windows fire wall both program's work perfectly so I suspect the problem is with windows firewall, when going through the trouble shooting option in windows firewall I got the option to do a system restore, apparently there had been a

critical update a 2:57 in the morning, I tried to restore before this point but it did not solve my problem with windows media player or with serviio.

 

 

Checking update review history I found 2 updates both definition updates for Microsoft Security Essentials - KB2310138 (Definition 1.145.97.0) and KB2310138(Definition 1.145.14.0)
