Disk Cloning problems using Vista Home Premium

My Asus F3F Laptop Hard disk is almost full even after compressing, I bought a WD 500gb Advanced format drive and a drive enclosure to house it whilst I try to clone the existing drive to it. I have loaded EasUs Todo backup (Free) to help with the cloning.

When connecting the new drive it is showing up in Device Manager under Disk Drives and Computer Management under storage but it is NOT showing up under My Computer for as a disk available in the Back up Software so I am unable to make the clone. Can anyone

help? (The reason for his process is because of the fact the op software is that which came with the laptop)
