Hi all,

This is clearly a dated upgrade for me to be making, but I need Vista SP2 in order to use an Easy Transfer cable. I have been trying to get an old HP PC running 32-bit Vista Home Premium to SP1 first, but have always encountered this error. I already ran

the update readiness tool, which "successfully" scanned and fixed up the issue - but it didn't. I ran sfc /scannow several times and noticed a recurring error regarding a certain EucrosiaUPC font, which I couldn't even find in my Fonts folder. Could it be

this corrupted file preventing my update? In addition I've tried installing from Windows Update and 2 different standalone installers, to no avail.

Thanks in advance
