Guest Bryan Smith Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Hello, I have a server running Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard, and starting today, when the session locks, the 'Unlock Computer' window will grey out and disable the username and password fields. The only resolution I have found is to reboot the server, however, since this server is pretty important in our environment, I was wondering if anyone had an idea on how to resolve without the repeated reboots. This is happening to the lockout/login screens from Remote Desktop sessions, VNC sessions, and from the system console.
Guest Anthony Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Re: Unlock Computer Window and System Login Screen Greyed Out Bryan, I have absolutely no idea really about this, but if you are also running VNC maybe you are seeing someone else's session on the screen, which you can't log out/ unlock Anthony, http://www.airdesk.co.uk "Bryan Smith" <BryanSmith@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:6D3146D4-C024-4C45-909A-2180C8968D7F@microsoft.com... > Hello, > > I have a server running Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard, and starting > today, > when the session locks, the 'Unlock Computer' window will grey out and > disable the username and password fields. > > The only resolution I have found is to reboot the server, however, since > this server is pretty important in our environment, I was wondering if > anyone > had an idea on how to resolve without the repeated reboots. > > This is happening to the lockout/login screens from Remote Desktop > sessions, > VNC sessions, and from the system console. > >
