IE 9 X64- Win 7, is installed but Updates show as Code 9C48 "failed: Fixit doesn;t work - repeat - I

IE 9 X64- Win 7 X64.  is installed but Updates show as Code 9C48 "failed: Fixit doesn;t work - repeat - IE 9 is installed". I am actually trying to upgrade to Internet Explore X 64 v. 10 --- but fails due to false Code 9C48 on IE 9 X64.  Details as follows;

Windows Internet Explorer 9 for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems I 

 

Installation date: ‎2/‎19/‎2013 8:46 AM   Current Update status -  IE 9  

 Explorer 

Installation status: Failed 

Error details: Code 9C48    - All updates installed,  USB drivers OK, MS Security Essentials runs not Defender 

IE 9

IE 9 is  Actually installed

 64-bit Edition

Update Versions: RTM (K8982861) 

Product ID: 03553-029-1117182-85991 

FYI -  Had a major glitch installing SP1 and IE 9 last year, Finally fixed in Dec 12-. Fixit erradicated all Update history to make the fix. All updates are installed.
