I have contacted the expat shield people and they confirm that it will not work with windows 8 and that they are not at the moment or in the future  intending to have a version which works with windows 8.

Had I have known this before I upgraded, I would never have upgraded to windows 8.  

perhaps microsoft will do something to make it to be compatible with windows 8 as it was in windows 7.

Extremly dissapointed and feel somewhat let down. I am finding more and more software I buy is not compatable with windows 8 and it is as if the software producers are severley lagging behind or think that not many people will use windows 8!!!
