How do I test a midi card?

I am having a problem with my midi keyboard. I bought a cheap audio

card with Midi (Vibra128) and I can't seem to get it to connect. Is

there a program or testing software that will tell me if the input on

the new audio card is working?

Thanks

That software should come with the "midi" device, like your keyboard.

The challenge is that the software is dated 2000 and Creative must not

have updated the Vibra128 much past that. Right now I need to be able

to test is the INPUT from the midi card is working. Once I can find

that out, I can find out if it is my cable or keyboard, barring that

the midi card works. It really is a difficult thing to do with so

many variables. I downloaded a Midi test file and it plays, so the

drivers look like they are working, but that doesn't mean the physical

card is receiving a signal...that is what I am trying to test.
