lost power during an update, now explorer periodically crashes w/meesage to restart it  Also cannot get Windows update to run, ERROR 80073712 ! FixIt says it has fixed the problem, but same error comes up every time update it is run.  Windows 7Prof.  64bit,

9550 intel quad core cpu - 8 megs ram(ddr2 8500), Gigabyte ud3p45 board has latest BIOS (F10), Radeon 6950 2 gb  air cooled 3950 mhz for 3 years. Setting update to automatic or just notify makes no difference.

  machine runs fine otherwise, just can't update the OS
