Since I installed a new Windows update a few days ago, the Desktop Window Manager quits working and is closed down every few minutes.  It's very annoying.  The message I get says that a problem caused the application to shut down and that as soon as a

fix is available, I will be notified.  Because this problem didn't start appearing until just after the update, I feel that the update caused the problem.  Because this is very annoying, is there anything I can do to fis the problem, or is waiting for a fix

the only option available to me?
