False Low Disk Space

An SSD primary drive has about half of its space free, but once in a while Windows 8 suddenly gives a Low Disk Space warning.  The properties window of the drive shows it has little free space left, but this is wrong. 

The following screenshot of Folder Size shows only 82.81GB is used, but the properties of the drive (C:) show that 167.10GB is used.  Rebooting the computer will fix this.  I have never seen this problem before using Windows 8, so I assume it is

related to Windows 8. 

Could anyone shed some light on this?
