Error Code 0x80240022 Unable to update says not connected to internet but I am connected.

When trying to update Microsoft Essential i got this error  Error Code 0x802400 saying that i am not connected but I am connected. 

The last thing I did was inserting a flash memory to my Laptop then the screen was black and white squares. I restarted my PC And updated my Microsoft essential i got an error. Then I thought i may got a virus from the flash memory Then full scan on my PC twice

and got 4 severe viruses(I dont remember their names) I deleted them the second scan found no virus. But I am unable to update my antivirus. Lately didn't uninstall or install any programs or antivirus.
