For the last few weeks when I go to turn off my PC it shows that I have a security update that needs to be installed. I assumed that it was installing the update as it always has before the PC would shut down. It became apparent to me that something was

wrong and I looked at it. It is Security Update for Microsoft .Net Framework 2.0 sp2 on Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP x86 (KB2789643). I have checked as much as I can but for some reason my PC wont let it install. My PC is from the factory with Windows

XP SP3 and has not given me any problems until this. What do you sugest I do. I have Microsoft Security Essentials and I have always thought that if it need upgraded it would have done it on its own. I suppose maybe I need to check and see if I can upgrade

it, I just dont know what to do. That is why I have asked my question.

Thanks, Michael Lxp
