Internet Connection Error pops up when using WMP

This just started happening...As soon as I open wmp, I get a message pop up saying internet connection error - your request cannot be completed because the service cannot be found or did not respond.  The service might be experiencing technical difficulties

or you may need to adjust your network settings.  I can't get rid of this.  Couldn't find anything on google either about this.  Can someone help me.  Its WMP12 and Im using IE9.
