This is a great place to know XP and OS.

My Question is does any one know in how to configure a Group Policy for Win

XP Pro and deploy it to other desktop. Instead of going to each computer to

manually make each setting.

Thanks

You can export/import the security template.

http://search.microsoft.com/results.aspx?q=export+security+template&qsc0=0&SearchBtn0=Search&FORM=QBME1&l=1&mkt=en-US&PageType=99

Re: Script on Group Policy

PS: You can configure the policies on one machine then copy the whole

%Systemroot%\System32\GroupPolicy folder to the other machines. This is

ok for machines in a workgroup or for stand alone workstations.

Re: Script on Group Policy

Sifu,

What's I'd do in your position is set up a policy & apply it via AD to the groups you wish

You haven't specified what policy you want to deploy

Re: Script on Group Policy

*** Ok this is what i trying to accomplish ***

Client has so many pc's in XP Pro and i want to lock down several selections

lik they do not see the add/ remove programs, no run option, unable to change

themes, etc.

While they are on a limited account, so i would like o do all this on 1 pc

and export the settings so that i can import it on all of their pc's either 1

by 1 or all the same time.

OS for Server is : Windows 2000 Server - Can this be done on a Server with

using XP Pro?

And since i saw the gpedit.msc feature i would like to deploy it all at once

if possible.

Thanks Again
