Cancel Installation Fails?

I recently tried to download microsoft security essentials but it said it was corrupted and it was downloading funny. so i cancelled the installation and it has said "cancelling the installation" for the last 5 days now and i cant get rid of it. because

of this i cannot try downloading security essentials again! how do i get this to go away?!
