if I wanted to bolster the security on my surface rt is there a way?

I have the surface Rt and I was wondering if there's a third party app or even a Microsoft download that would add more security to my tablet, and I don't just mean a new password on the start screen. The windows defender program seems to work fine and is

yet to put a foot wrong but I would like to have something else running in tandem just in case this worst should happen.
