Security Essentials will not auto start on PC restart.

Lately when I restart my computer Security Essentials does not automatically start.  I have to go into all programs and select it and open it.  Then it will minimize to my taskbar and stay running.  As soon as i shut down my PC and then restart it i have

to do the same thig all over again.  I do not recall doing anything such as loading a new program or updates to cause this to happen and it started about three weeks ago.  Anyone have any idea as to why it isn't starting automatically on a system restart? 

i have checked in "msconfig" and there is nothing there under services or startup for security essentials.
