Explore crashing due to Java on TS

Hello kind sir's.

I'm having a problem on my companys Win2k3 Ent. Server. I've locked down the

users pretty hard of safety reasons, which works pretty well. Now however,

some of the users need to enter a site which needs a certificate. This is

all fine and dandy, I put the respective site in trusted sites, and opend

the certificate with the user. When the user then enters the site IE

crashes, some times with an error or none at all.

I've been using some time on this, and found out that when the user initiate

"Sun Java Console" under "Tools" in IE, it crashes aswell. I've tried to

reinstall Java, to no avail.

Is there anyone here that have experienced the same problem?

Kind regards, and thanks in advance.

Hmm I've digged depper, and found out that it might have something to do

with a bug in java, due to either printers or graphics device drivers. This

is the bug report from java.

Re: Explore crashing due to Java on TS

I fixed this error by downgrading Java to Java 1.5 r 12. The problem was due

to the setup: Xeon CPU's Win2k3 Ent. Sp2 etc.
