After about of month of not using it at all, I turned on my Windows RT tablet and saw there were a lot of updates I had to apply. I clicked OK and Windows started downloading the updates. Afterward, I was prompted to restart right away or wait 4 min. I

clicked cancel, then it restarted automatically after a few moments. After the tablet restarted, it began applying the updates.  Finally, I was able to access the login screen and I logged in.

However, when I went to Desktop, then Windows Update, I was informed that the update failed.  When I go to the history, I see several of them failed, plus many of them are "pending restart". I have restarted several times  (Settings

> Power > Restart), and the problem still persists.

I have 10Gb of free space, so that cannot be the issue. My Internet connection works very well too

On top of that, it now stays forever on "Checking for updates".
