windows xp Windows 8 and XP Multi-boot

I have Windows 8 on my Acer Aspire One D255 netbook computer, and I am trying to multi-boot it with my copy of Windows XP.

I had everything prepared. I get an external disc drive that supports the following:

CD+, CD- and CD ROM

DVD+, DVD-, DVD RAM and DVD ROM

Blu-Ray

 

I inserted the disc and restarted my netbook. I was on the setup and it said

"Setup is loading Windows XP..." on the bar at the bottom of the screen. Around two seconds afterwards,

I got a blue screen error. How do I get rid of the blue screen and carry on with the setup?
