Sorry to bother you with something that is prob so basic but can i stop MSN launching when i boot pc. Done it through msconfig but it adds back to the list once i've used it.

Hi and welcome to Extreme Tech Support - Free PC Help,

In msconfig, I assume you meant you un-ticked MsnMsgr in the start up tab, did you then click "apply" then OK? That should have done the job permanently. However, considering I use MSN or Windows live, I have yet to try it on my machine.

If you look in the menu's and find Tools, then Options, then General, you will find the startup options.

 

Just untick the automatically run when logon box.

 

That should sort it.
