1. I have a feeling processing time is slow b/c other programs are running in the background.

I have a bunch of programs on my desktop I really don't use/need. How to I uninstall programs I don't want?

 

2. I believe this will free up more RAM so that the installation of Windows 7 will run better.  I have a 32-bit dual chip.  How do I know that my computer is prepared / has the capability to run Windows 7?  I'm running the Windows 7 Advisor now, but all

it said was thanks for downloading.  It didn't have any pop up window that said all was OK and I can download Windows 7.
