Hello,

 

Why is the product key on the install disk for Windows 7 Ultimate different from the one on my computer that verifies a genuine copy has been installed?  In other words, the product key on the install disk has a combination of upper-case letters and numbers. 

However, the product key on my computer that verifies that a genuine copy of Windows 7 Ultimate is installed has only numbers.
