Hi. My OS recently crashed and it doesn't even boot.

I've wanted to do a clean installation for a long time.

Clean slate, so to speak.

Thing is, my laptop (Asus) did not come with a recovery CD.

And what's worse, the recovery partition has been broken since the day one!

The OS is Windows 7 Home premium 64 bit. Russian version.

I've looked around on the net, and found this:http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-windows_install/how-do-i-repair-my-windows-7-installation-the/b027b64f-1c11-4c72-aff4-db4ad4710d90

I'm just wondering if this is legit or not?

And if so, which link am I supposed to use from the aforementioned thread? (The versions were posted in a confusing format tbh.)

Windows 7 key is still attached to the case.

Thanks
