Problem trying to recover in Windows 7

OS is windows 7. The machine would not restart due to some kind of a corruption, so while in safe mode, I backed up all my files to 6 DVDs and a brand new windows 7 re-installed. Having done this, I now want to restore all my files from the DVDs. There

is an application called RecoveryMgr on the 1st DVD which I ran which copied all files from the 6 DVDs to C:System Recovery Files. 

 

I then went to Control Panel to Backup and Restore, but that's not helping me reinstate all the files to their original locations. Can anyone offer any assistance please?
