Hi, Recently my ASUS G60 laptop running Windows 7 undergone a automatic Windows 7 update. For the past few days on every start up and shut down, it would display the messages saying that

the Windows machine was being configured. This happened EVERYTIME the computer was started up and shut down.I did not notice anything different about it until now. I could not disconnect to an Unidentified Network in my own home, when I started it up. In the Network and Sharing Center, it list the connections as "VirtualBox Host-Only Network". I tried, but I could not disconnect from this network. I have an virtual Box on the machine and I have it running a Ubuntu virtual box, butthis was the first time, this error has ever occurred. I went under Computer->Properties->Device Manager to try to restart the network

driver but I ran into an error when I clicked on Device Manager/Remote Settings/System Protection/Advanced System Settings ("The extended attributes are inconsistent")I looked on many forums including this one and it seemed as the advice was to run sfc /scannow on the elevated command prompt. This was not possible since I could not access the elevated command prompt, I would again be presented with the dame error.
