Hi !

I want to synchronize (make real time mirror) one folder (and subfolders) to

another folder on another server. If a file is modified, deleted or new

files created on server a , I want that change to be morrired to the

destination server.

Any suggestion !

Hugo

Hi Hugo,

Can you say what business objective you want to achieve? There are many

types of replication, at diferent costs, and it depends exactly what you

mean. DFS Replication will replicate files between servers. Whether it meets

your needs is another matter,

Re: Synchronize folder

Hi Anthony !

We need to have a complet copy of our 2 files serveurs on a 3rd server. My 2

files servers have about 450,000 files for around 80G. of data...I tried

ROBOCOPY but it's not suitable because it take 45 minutes to do a complete

synch !!! We need a near real-time synchronization !

I found DFS/FRS. I'm reading about it...

Do you have other suggestion ?

Hugo

Sorry for my bad english !

Re: Synchronize folder

DFSR gives you a near real time replication.

Clustering, or Synchronous replication products give you a simultaneous

replication (it becomes available when both sides are finished).
