Hi..

I upgraded to windows 8 pro from windows 7 a few days ago & windows update was just working fine up until now...

I get an error code 80240440, whenever I try to check for updates..

I tried troubleshooting it & it finds & fixes these two issues-

1) potential windows update database error detected 0x80070490.

2) windows update components must be repaired.

it always fixes these issues but problem remains same & I get the same error code... I tried troubleshooting several times but I always get the same message as mentioned above.

its really annoying... how do I fix it guys?

please help!!!

thanks!
