When I shut my laptop down last night it installed updates.

When I booted it back up this morning it went through the normal boot-up process allowing me to login, displayed the Windows logo, then went to a black screen with a window saying:

Personalized Settings

Setting up personalized settings for:

Web Platform Customizations

It appears to stay on this indefinitely (3+ hours so far). Moving the mouse over the 'Personalized Settings' window displays the circular 'wait' cursor (ust an arrow cursor on the black background), and I am

able to move the window around; I am also able to start Task Manager, and reboot, but that's it.

Rebooting doesn't fix the problem, it just keeps hanging at this window every time I try rebooting.

Anybody else experience this problem or have a solution to fix it?
