Oh no they don't. Well not the derivative I had anyway. Ran both programs multiple times and while they detected the Adware trackers and removed them it all just came back. It was Comodo that identified the suspicious file which led me to the File Research Centre and taking the (admitted) risk with the use of the lop.com uninstaller

The File Research Center is the same company as SuperAntiSpyware.

 

The latest SAS definition update for lop was on Nov 11.

 

Yes, it's possible you had a new variant, but there are many other possibilities:

 

1) Outdated core and trace files in the programs you used to try and remove lop.

 

2) Corrupt definition file download.

 

3) Spybot's Tea Timer (in your log), as well as Adaware and other antivirus programs which may interfere with malware removal.

 

...and a few other things as well.
