grsphics card drivers stops responding constantly

After upgrading from XP to windows 7, I'm constantly getting msg that my graphics card drivers had to recover, I'm also blank screens  and have to manually restart my computer. I've updated my video drivers and it's still happening. Before I upgraded to

7 I ran the windows advisor and it showed that the ATI Radeon HD 2400 Pro AGP was compatible. My computer is a Hp pavilion a450e AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3200+  2.00 GHz  32 Bit OS  Service Pack 1. Does anyone have any idea how I can solve this issue?
