Windows 7 Firewall is preventing my computer talking to my printer.

I have for more than 3 yrs had my current computer running Windows 7 : 64 bit operating system and wirelessly connecting it to my Brother Printer DCP340CW. However,  the Windows Firewall has suddenly stopped my computer talking to the printer. If I turn

the firewall off I am able to print successfully. I have checked the box is still ticked in the Firewall security to let the Brother Printer through and it is.  Any ideas please would be appreciated. Many thanks.
