I'm using Windows XP with service pack 2. Is there a way to make a registry

change permanent so that it doesn't reset to the default when you reboot?

I've done it before but can't remember what I did. Thanks. - Kennard

Hi Kennard

I'm puzzled. . . registry changes *are* permanent (unless you change the

settings back again). Can you say what change you are trying to make and

what's happening? Some security programs "lock down" the registry to

prevent any nasties from interfering with it. Are you perhaps running

one of these?

Kennard,

What are the settings being restored to defaults when you restart?
