Issue: KB2750841 will not install on my server.

McAfee System Scan indicates issue:

Microsoft Windows IPv6 Protocol Stack Network Discovery Design Error Vulnerability (KB2750841)

Active

RESULTS:

HKLMSYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesTcpip6Parameters exists

HKLMSYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesTcpip6Parameters DisabledComponents is missing.

Microsoft Windows IPv6 Protocol Stack Network Discovery Design Error DoS Vulnerability Detected.

 

My Server

Windows Server 2008 Enterprise  64-bit, 6.0.6002 SP2 build 6002.

 

  • I tried, MS updates that doesn't even come up with the package.
  • I tried manually nstalling the x64 package, it fails. 

  • I even tried an x86 package it fails also with the same error.

Error: "the update does not apply to your system"Any assistance would be appreciated.
