KB958559 Failure configuring Windows updates

Hi,

 

I cannot install Windows Virtual PC on my 64-bit Windows 7 Pro system. The KB fails during the update at the 97% complete point (after it reboots) every time. I installed XP Mode first as MS website states, then tried 2nd step to install KB958559 but it

fails. I have no antivirus other than MS Security Essentials and no other interfering products (VMware or alike). I've spent hours by trying other suggestions in other posts - still no success.
