windows xp.I restored my computer and after the restore it would not load the windows updates.

I have trtied to go into run and into maje sure that BITS and the Automatic Updates service are started

did everything it said to do and stilll no luck

I downloaded sservice pack 3 onto a stick with the updates but do not know where to go t oinstall it in xp

aany help would bed appreciated
