cant run windows update after having reinstalled windows 7 home edition - please help me

IE10 browsing is really slow for me now and sometimes just doesn't connect.  I think I need to get the latest windows updates but I continue getting an error message.   Im starting to think this has something to do w the Msft Genuine Advantage credentials

I have?  I thought I activated everything properly but I just don't know.  Maybe this is registry related?? This stinks, hopefully someone can help me, ive searched different forums for hours for a solution.
