i have a server that is having problems resolving names. i have the DNS

servers configured correctly (responds fine for other systems) and when i

run an nslookup it times out getting the name of the dns server when i first

start it and any request i make times out. i tried switching nslookup to the

backup server and i get the same thing.

I just recently assigned two new ip's to the primary nic and this box is

also running VM Server.

never had a problem with nslookup not working so i dont really know where to

go to start troubleshooting this.

Thanks

Justin

Re: name res issues

so... i removed those two new ip's i added and it works fine...

the only thing that changed was i had added the two IP's (from the same

subnet as the main ip, nothing weird) and created two websites to use those

IPs...
