Looking for USB ver 1.0 driver for Win 98

I have Windows 98 computer, and wanting to use a flash, jump drive, etc., on

it, but it doesn't work. I know I need a software driver so this process

could work with such devices on the Win98. Does anyone know how/where to

get or download the driver from?

USB version 1 drivers were built into Win98 when first

on the market. Then USB version 2 came out, the main

reason for issuing Win98SE. You could try the generic

driver at http://www.technical-assistance.co.uk/kb/usbmsd98.php

but no one can guarantee it will do what you want.

Win98 has USB included...

check to see that you have USB enabled in the bios

If your USB is working then it isn't the USB drivers you need. If the flash

drive etc you are plugging into the USB doesn't work, then you need the

drivers for that device. See if this helps (but be aware that drivers for

USB devices for W98 are hard to find).

Nate,

You HAVE TO download the driver for that device. You will find the

directions to the website for that driver on the package and instructions in

or on the package. We had to do this when I bought the flash drive. I do

hope you saved the package with the model and the website.
