My motherboard failed on my HP computer and I was able to backup my files. They are all now wmi and I need to restore several of them since they contain several essential programs and data. HP will not help unless I pay them for their service. All of the

files are wmi and I am using WIN 7. I tried the HP recovery manager but it says it " stopped working" alas no help from HP tech support. I am just above a novice so any help really needs to be explained thorougly.
