Does copying Hyperterminal from Windows XP to a Windows 7 install violate licensing terms?

We are no longer allowed to have Windows XP  boxes at work, but but need the hyperterminal functionality. We have licensed copies of Windows XP. If we get hyperterminal from our licensed XP installation media and install it on our licensed Windows 7 machines,

are w violating MS licensing?
