Guest Gilda Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 I recently opened Excel and started working on a document and suddenly the computer started adding commas to the cell continuously. It would not allow me to delete them I had to backspace to get rid of them and if I stopped backspacing they would continue on infinitely. I thought it was just a problem with Excel but when trying to change the name of a document somewhere else it started again. I don't use this computer often and so I dumped everything and reloaded the factory software and Office and the problem still continues. I scanned the documents for a virus and found nothing. The has rendered my laptop useless...help!

Also, turn the lap top upside down and bang it *gently* on a desk or table and try and shake loose anything that might be stuck in the keyboard. In addition, try using compressed air to free anything that might be stuck round the comma key. -- Alias To email me, remove shoes
