Excel 2013 Crashes with large spreadsheets

I have found Excel 2013 (32-bit) to be completely unusable running on Windows 8 (HP Core i7, 8GB ENVY dv7). A 296MB spreadsheet which I can work on without issues using Win 7 (Excel 2010 64-bit) consistently crashes when I try to scroll from

the top of the spreadsheet to the bottom.

In addition, Win8 print drivers are woefully inadequate - the generic driver for a Xerox Color Phaser printer will not permit selecting the bypass tray; PostScript drivers for the same printer appear to install OK but then crash, complaining about insufficient

memory.

In short, Win8 and Office 2013 are disasters. I will not be putting them on any other computers. Microsoft has outdone itself with these buggy and unstable releases.
