Windows Firewall

When I try to view the Firewall settings I get a pop-up saying "Due to an

unidentified problem, windows cannot display windows firewall settings".

My pc was infected with several viruses. I pulled the harddrive, put it in

a HD enclosure and using a friends pc and his Kaspersky program, I was able

to delete all of the viruses, trojans, etc.

What is causing this inability to view wind. firewall settings? Any help is

gratefull appreciated.
