I somehow got infected with this browser hijacker/malware nightmare. I read

a bunch of what seems to be too complicated for my skill level fixes.

Is there a program out there that will get rid of it? I've tried Ad-Aware

and Spybot Search and Destroy, as well as Bazooka and the antispyware

program that comes with the Road Runner supplied security suite, and no

good,

Thanks for any info, Todd McD

The Malicious Software Removal Tool will not help the OP. Here is how to

remove Ultimate Cleaner:

To McDermotts - If the instructions look too hard to follow, register at

BleepingComputer or one of the specialty sites listed below (in no

particular order) and get guided help. Or take the machine to a

professional computer repair shop (not your local version of

BigComputerStore/GeekSquad). Please be aware that not all local shops

are skilled at removing malware and even if they are, your computer may

be so infested that Windows will need to be clean-installed. Have all

your data backed up before you take the machine into a shop.
